Returning from Paradise, back to the kitchen

On the last day we were in Maui, I did a little surfing then went back to the condo and made a clean-the-fridge-out smoothie. It was similar to my tropical fruit smoothie, however it also contained fresh strawberries and blueberries. It was delicious and very filling.

While on vacation, I sought inspiration for other desserts that could be modified for my needs. I researched recipes for eggless custards and panna cotta. That got my imagination going and I felt hope that I might be able to create not only beautiful new desserts, but even frostings for my delectable cupcakes.

If not for the jet lag, I would be in my kitchen right now, working out the details of my next experiment with a batch of cupcakes in the oven. It will have to wait until tomorrow.
